LADY OF SUMMER

Original Acrylic on Cradled Wood Panel
LADY OF SUMMER is a representation of the fashions of the 1920’s. She wears a cloche hat with floral detail which was one of the most popular styles of this era. The name “Lady of Summer” is fitting for this painting as the summer was the perfect time of year during the roaring ‘20s where the women could be free of restrictive clothing and express themselves fully.
This piece is painted on wood. One of our custom wood panels was the perfect choice to bring out the transparent acrylic colors and the charcoal with ink details.
